Jedite mahunarke, žitarice i voće.

Do you sometimes start eating and find it hard to stop? You eat way more than you planned and then feel like a failure, promising to do better tomorrow? That used to be me. It got really bad... so that I was often bingeing in secret so no one would see. But there’s a really simple explanation for why this kind of overeating happens. I'll use the current 'panic buying' situation to explain. . . When you fear that there isn't enough (toilet paper for example), you buy as much as possible because you fear there won't be enough. This is exactly what dieting or ‘trying to be good’ does to you. When you try to lose weight, you often get a sense that food is scarce ("I'm not allowed to eat that"), and that’s when you panic eat in case the supply runs out. It's your bodies way of protecting you, of getting enough while it can. But when you actually give yourself permission to eat - the panic eating (aka bingeing) stops because you trust there is always food available. . I have heaps more free resources to help you - on my blog and my YouTube channel you'll see a video called "How I finally stopped binge eating" that's worth watching if you're struggling right now. I know being at home can make it extra tough. If you want more support, you can always sign up to Keep It Real Program or Back to Basics. Both will help you develop a healthier relationship with food you can break the restrict/binge/feel like a failure cycle. . . #bingeeating #foodscarcity #theresenoughtogoaround
